I want a really slim booster car seat for my DS - anyone know which one would be OK?

I would like to fit 3 people across the back seat of my estate car - 1 rear facing baby seat, 1 booster seat and an adult. Does anyone know which booster seats are slim? DS is very very skinny so he wouldn't hang off the sides of a slim one. Thanks for any help!

Also, does anyone know (safety wise) if it makes any difference whether the booter is in the middle seat in the back or whether it is at the side by one of the doors?

(there is a proper diagonal belt in the middle location)

hiya,we have a small car with 3 car seats in the back,
the way we do it, is to have the rearfacing seat in the middle of the back seat (maxi-cosi cabrio) and 2 britax hi-liners at either side for my 3yo and 4yo,

Thanks - DS has a Britax seat that looks like that one, but I think it has a different name (?!). Maybe mine is a wider version as it seems too wide for what I am trying to get in? What are the criteria for using just the booster cushion, rather than having the back and sides as well? It would only be occasional when we have 3 adults and 2 kids in the car, usually DS would be in the Britax seat.

so long as they are over 15kg they can use just a booster, although i wouldnt do it as its not as safe, but MANY people do,
what type of first stage seat do you have?? have you tried it in the middle with the booster at one side?or the booster in middle and infant seat at other side?

tesco does a really narrow booster seat (without the sides) which is only about £6, my sis-in-law bought these as she needs 3 in a little car,

hi-liner is narrower than the evolva

The first stage seat I have is a Britax First Class plus (I think!) - it is the 0+/1 combination seat - I got it for safety - my 12 month old DD is still rear facing as the seat is so big - I was hoping to keep her rear facing in it for a while yet and on the Britax website, it says that the installation is too unstable to have it in the middle position on the backseat. Will def look at the Tesco ones as it would only be occasional.

Thanks cargirl - mine might be an evolva so worth me looking at the hi-liner as well.

what kind of car do you have?its prob quite tight as its a bigger rearfacing seat than the likes of the infant carrier ones,

cargirl, are you sure the evolva 2-3 is wider?i was told it was just basically the same seatwith a few minor changes?

i wouldn't have though you would have had a problem,my mum has an octavia and hers is really wide compared to mine lol,

theres a few people on here have said about how the tesco booster (its a plain black one with white piping) is slimmer than others,

good luck x
