I love it, can't get it around here. I NEED it. Can PayPal cost plus postage, etc.

I could do it, you mean Mother's Pride stuff?

EasterEggsintheSky · 06/04/2009 13:33

Do you mean batch bread? They have that in Ireland and I love it but you can't get it here. I think the nearest I could get was Scottish (think it was plain bread).

Will look - doing my Tesco order at the mo!

MmeLindt · 06/04/2009 13:34

LOL

We should do a MN campaign for Overseas MNetters and those missing regional specialities.

We always had to to take my Auntie a half loaf

EasterEggsintheSky · 06/04/2009 13:35

Where are you hobbers?

hobbgoblin · 06/04/2009 13:41

Wahey! Thanks

Yes I think it is the Mother's Pride stuff. It is tall and dense with dark crust.

I agree MmeLindt ;)

I'm in the SEast England.

It's in Tescos then!! I thought you were in Outer Mongolia or something!

Lovely stuff, really doughy in the middle but with a seriously burnty crust. Mmmmm.

mawbroon · 06/04/2009 13:58

hobbgoblin - hope you get some.

Personally I can't stand the stuff but DH loves it.

I must be a bit more pan loaf than him

hobbgoblin · 06/04/2009 14:11

I looked in a HUGE tesco and also asked only to get this: look from the staff. lol

So, I have been in need for months!

It is the burnty crust stuff indeed.

hobbgoblin · 06/04/2009 17:29

Near St Albans, Herts.

geordie, I'd still eat it squashed

Teabags that is, I haven't really looked at bread.

louii · 07/04/2009 15:55

Do you really want a loaf of mothers pride that much???
Lou (from fife)

noddyholder · 07/04/2009 18:05

the one near me def does!I have been force feeding ds it to try and show him his roots!

Metatron · 07/04/2009 18:08

DDS love it less fuss about crusts too!

I could sling some in a box if you want?

I wonder if freezing it before posting would be the way to go...

hobbgoblin · 07/04/2009 20:27

You know it is 12 years since I had it and every day I mourn .

So, I am grateful for the offers of Plain Bread drop offs and postage and what knot - spechly the freezing idea.

If some Southern supermarkets sell it there must be one near me, you'd think...

If anyone wants to email me if they are coming past, loaf in hand, then I'll meet you and buy you coffee!

i don't know how you expats make french toast without it...

hobbgoblin · 07/04/2009 20:41

My French toast doesn't work - but then I got into the whole French toast thing when in France and really it requires stale baguette from breakfast!
