I was going to get a P & T. I have been looking on ebay for double buggies and there seems to be alot.

My sister said to me last night n the phone that if it were her she would just get a buggy board or toddler seat and sling and use buggy I have. Now I'm wondering what to do again. It would definately be the cheaper option. I have reins for DD and she is a confident if slow walker so I'm sure she will get better and better. She will only be 17 and a half months when LO arrives but my sister said friends of hers got a double and now the toddler walks along side with reins so largely a waste of money.

My sister is in NZ though so is more likely to use the car to get out and about whereas I'm very close to town centre in Sutton so will be walking as much as possible.

I have found a couple of toddler seats on ebay Emmaljunga seat and a BNIB LITAF ride on seat thingy. Has anyone used or know of these?? I have an urban detour 3 wheeler buggy so pretty sturdy will they both fit on?? I also want to get a Kari me sling for LO so DD can go in buggy if needed. My friend has Kari me and I love it.

the emmaljunga clips on top of the buggy, am I right? If so I would n't risk it. If the LITAf seat attaches to the back supports on the pushcahir, I'd say that is a better bet. Bog standard buggy boards fit on them, so I don't see why the seat to go type shouldn't.

if you do a lot of walking you will need a good double buggy, i had 18m age gap my ds2 was 18m old when ds3 arrived only just finished using double buggy now 18m down the line. loved my p&t you need something with air tyres that isn't too heavy as when you have two toddlers its hard work to push!

my sister had the litaf one,it was a NIGHTMARE, the wheels jammed, and they couldnt go backwards kerbs were a nightmare,

i would def get a phil and teds if you walk a lot,
you would be better off getting a new soprt one from kiddicare than off ebay as the second hand ones seems to be making a fortune just now,

I've just been for a lovely long walk up the high street and I think I agree with you girls. P & T it is. I think I will go on to kiddicare as ebay ones are either too rough or too expensive.

yes the camo ones are only £299 with doubles kit, i had the blue camo it was so much nicer in RL! got lots of compliments as you don't see so many. i miss my p&t some days when ds2 is tired or ill, you will get plenty of use then still make back quite a bit when you sell.

Febes · 04/04/2009 13:14

They only have pink or pink and blue camo for 299. I don't know if Lo is a boy or girl so might have to wait until its born now. DH won't want a pink buggy if he has a boy!!!

I think a buggyboard would be heavy-going with an 18mth old (would they want to nap?). If you had a sling that you were happy carrying either child in, I'd say it might work... I have done Ergo sling/buggyboard/single BUT my dd was 2.3 when ds was born.

P&T is a great double.

Umlellala · 04/04/2009 20:59

(PS most of my friends have only just stopped using their doubles as doubles iykwim - the kids want to scoot now! but they were using them 6 months ago - when kids were 2.5/nearly 3)

I just got a P&T for my DS and DC2 (due in July) and it's FAB. I'm using it as a single just now and it's actually smaller and lighter than my previous pram (Quinny Buzz). I wish I'd got one ages ago, it's great as you can just use it as a single even if your DD ends up walking a lot herself. Check out the Glasgow Pram Centre online, that's where we got ours, a Sport for £299
