What are Jojomamanbebe clothes like in quality and sizing?

I've never ordered from them before but they've got some bits that I'd love for the boys (leggings that I haven't seen anywhere else). DS1 is 3 but 106cms tall and in some shops I'm already having to buy him aged 5-6 clothes because they are cut on the small side. Jojo only go up to 4-5 so I'm wondering if it would be big enough, but in their catalogue they say they cut their clothes generously.

Also I was thinking of treating myself to one of their breastfeeding dresses for summer (I miss not being able to wear a dress) again are they nice quality?

I've bought maternity jeans and swimsuit from here. Both were great and lasted through 2 pregnancies so v.good quality. The sizes were generous. got into a 12 which I still boast about now

I didn't find the kids clothes to be great quality for the price to be honest.

I bought a swimsuit last year that faded, the hats became mis-shaped after the first wash. The maternity stuff was ok as you don't need it for long.

i find there clothes for boys lovely and generously cut hth

Wheelybug · 17/03/2009 15:35

I find their childrens clothes big for size and good quality.

I've had a couple of maternity bits from there - generally good quality although on the day I had dd2 (last week) the zip broke on a jumper I had from there and its not very old. Thankfully I don't need to wear it anymore !

I live near their warehouse / sale shop and have bought quite a lot over the last few years. Good quality and generous sizing.

I love the jojo maman fleece snowsuits.
I bought one second hand on ebay and we've used it so much I've bought the next size up.
They get a good resale price on ebay and wear very well and are generously cut.
I think items full price are quite pricey but always ooh and aah when I flick through the catalogue!

Ds had a fleecy snowsuit for there and it's one of the few baby things that I haven't given away because I loved it so much!! Ds grew out of it 5 years ago!!!

I have a discount code and was thinking of buying a few things that are on multi buy offers (one of the joys of having 2 children of the same sex). Sounds like it should be ok to give it a go then.

How quickly do they deliver?

I have found there stuff to be good quality, and value (esp if you take advantage of their £X off if you buy 2). Much nicer than supermarket stuff - less garish colours and less 'trendy'. They deliver quickly.

lalalonglegs · 19/03/2009 11:10

The clothes were huuuuge. My daughter was wearing jjmmbb shorts and top for 3-6 months old when she was 3.6 years. I think they've scaled them down a bit now but be careful if you are buying from website. The clothes are nice and classic and, I think, pretty good quality.

Snooch · 19/03/2009 11:19

I've found the quality to be outstanding, especially on the maternity side. Bought a lot of stuff from them for both my pregnancies and have lasted well. On the children's side, I've bought some Summer sandals which DS hasn't worn yet, but for £12 I think look waaaay more expensive than what I paid for them. I also bought a coat, hat, scarf and mittens for the Winter which have been fine but found the size of the coat a bit small so had to exchange for a bigger one. He was 18 months when I bought it, got a size 2-3 which fits him perfectly now (and he's not quite 2 yet!)...there's no way this coat is going to last another year that's for sure. DS is inbetween the 75th and 91st centiles so not a small boy though.

Snooch · 19/03/2009 11:31

Tutu they delover very speedily - they will tell you 5 working days or something but I have often ordered on a Friday and got the stuff on a Monday.

Snooch · 19/03/2009 11:31

Um...that would be deliver....

bigbang · 19/03/2009 20:21

Hmm I would have to go against the grain here! Maternity stuff is good yes, I have a few things which are great and wear well from last pregnancy, will deff do this one too.

But. I think the kids stuff is really over priced for what it is. I wouldn't say the quality is any better than cheaper places though designs are nicer. I also find the clothes to come up small, ds is 20 months and still in 12-18 clothes so he isn't massive, and has outgrown jojo stuff before anything else! Maybe he is an odd shape.

The multi save things do make a difference but you still pay a lot for nothing special. I almost bought some t shirts recently, with multi save it was still £15 for two little tops. Found a four pack that were almost identical in next for £9, IMO quality is the same.

I still buy there sometimes because the clothes are lovely, I just don't expect them to last long on ds or be fantastic quality.

bitofadramaqueen · 19/03/2009 20:27

I lived in a pair of smart black maternity trousers for work and a pair of maternity jeans at the weekend because they were the only ones that stayed up without me constantly having to pull them up. .

Despite the constant washing and wearing they lasted me throughout the pregnancy. I was sick of the sight of them when I was done though

I did have loads of delivery problems though and sent back all the tops that I bought as they were badly cut. I think when I ordered they had just released their spring collection and for whatever reason weren't able to deliver on the advertised dates. Maybe unexpected delays with the new stock?
