Any ideas?

I don't want anything too babyish as he loves slides, but at the same time, not looking for a free fall danger drop type!

Slide is one of the things I regret buying for my garden.

You have to supervise them constantly...and even then they will try daredevil stunts and make your heart skiop a beat.

They take up a lot of space too.

Really?? He's quite good when in the park...but I guess a fixed to the ground slide a different kettle of fish!

My mum has this in her garden for ds. He has been using it happily since last summer (was 2.5). Has only fallen off it once but was fine thankfully!

SlightlyMadScotland · 15/03/2009 22:12

In the park though he has but 20-30mins once a week to hone his skills.

In the garden he may have a couple of hours a day evrery day of the summer.

Myy SIL warned us it would happen. I was foolish to ignore her.

lEAVE IT to teh park. It will be a treat then.

I got a great one in Argos for something like £29.99. I got it for DS really; it was high enough and interesting enough for a five-year-old, but DD, who was then three, went straight up it. To my shame, I don't think I've ever supervised them on the slide; I would have supervised DS when he was three, but DD has always just tended to do what her brother does!
They've had fantastic fun in summer with it - we put a sheet of plastic at the bottom and tie the hose-pipe to the slide to make a home-made water slide. It's one of the best things we've bought. DS is nearly seven, and he still likes it!

How much room do you have? We have a (TP) climbing frame with slide attached and DD can shin up it and squeal her way down the slide feet first or head first - and the DC have just acquired a sling swing which hangs from it as well - and it can't be tipped over like standalone slides (DD will be 3 in October)

I would say the patch of grass is about 12ft by 12ft (roughly)

So it would fit OK, as long as you don't mind it dominating....

Have a look on here
