Can anyone recommend a booster seat for the dinning table?

I'm not sure what age you move your child from a high chair, but I think my 15 month old is ready and loves his food so much he would happily sit anywhere to eat.

Can anyone recommend a good booster seat (ie fits securely and easily to variety of chairs) and I'm thinking it might also be useful to be portable, so we can take it to friends and relatives homes?

we had a bog standard one from mothercare, the cheapest one they do which was absolutely fine.
light enough and easy to remove so you could take it with you too

Litaf hang n sit, a plastic version of the handysitt or any of the others but make sure it is very easy to clean, most of them have lots of gaps for the crumbs rather than a moulded solid bottom.

We have the £13 one from Argos - no problems, and I even sling it in the dishwasher to clean it properly!

I have a Litaf Hang n Seat. Much cheaper than the Handysitt but just as good and very portable.

We no longer need it - I was just going to put it on eBay. Would you be interested?

We've got this one and it's been great. We've taken it everywhere and have had no problems at all with it.

We have bought Tripp Trapp chairs for our sons because you can adjust the height of the seat and foot rest. They are both using them now - aged 4 and 7. They are fab for older children too for doing home work because you can set them at the right height.

I have this one and it is great as it has no nooks and crannies for food to get trapped down. I did have a fold up one but the seat underneath got in a mess as food would fall down between the gaps.

Thanks Amazonian, but I need it for this week. Appreciate everyones help

I've got one that DS3 (21 months) no uses. Can't find a picture of it anywhere (was given to me).

But it has an adjustable height "seat" (3 different heights) and attaches quite easily to any chair. I should have the tray around for it somewhere as well but not sure where atm.

You're welcome to this one for postage if you want?

Can take a photo if you're interested.

cheekychopsmum · 18/03/2009 14:59

Thanks FAQ, I'm going to purchase this one, on special offer. here

Don't get this one, the back doesn't stay up, it slips all over the chair and if you have a toddler sitting on it it squashes down to almost nothing so is a bit pointless really.

nappyaddict · 21/03/2009 09:18

clairey - has your DS ever fallen off the chair with it?

cheekychopsmum · 24/03/2009 12:14

Amazonianwoman - do you still have the Litaf Hang n Seat and are wanting to sell it? The one I bought was too clumpy and takes up too much storage room.

Could you please email me with details? [email protected]

Nappyaddict no they haven't actually fallen off but dd always used to complain that it was sliding forwards and we'd have to adjust it about 20 times during the course of a meal. It's just a complete pita for the tiny amount of a boost it gives
