Phil and Teds SPORT. Anyone find the adjustable handle a bit loose??????

Just bought a Phil and Teds Sport online and am a little surprised at the amount of wobble in the handle. I would expect it to be pretty ridgid but it's not. I guess I can live with it but wondered if it were a fault or just a design flaw.

Grateful if others could confirm if this is normal or not.

Thanks

i sold mine a couple of weeks ago, but yes i think it did give a bit. not so much that it worried me tho?

Thanks. Don't want to go tot the trouble of sending it back and then finding it is the norm. I imagine it won't be a problem other than perhaps when lifting up the pushchair by the handle. I start to fixate on things with all these hormones flying about.

I recently bought one online and the handle is a wee bit wobbly but not much- still feels very robust.

However, I do have a problem with the grey button you press to open the buggy up. It often won't depress and I am stuck for ages trying to open the buggy. Has anyone else had this?

mine doesn't wobble at all

Eldon, do you have Sport model with the adjustable handle???

I haven't identified any other problems yet.

yep I have the sport with the adjustable handle
I have just examined it now - it does move

whatever position it is in the handle moves approx 1mm at the handle base

EldonAve · 08/03/2009 21:22

I have had it for 2 years and it has not affected it's function at all - until this thread I was unaware of the movement

Thanks. Perhaps these hormones are making me particularly anal .

thatsnotmymonster - have an 8-week-old P&T sport and have the same problem. Have had to ask passers by for help on a couple of occassions when trying to get the thing up in car parks. However, seems to have been easier last couple of times, and think I may have been pulling the handle up (as if to unfold it) with one hand while pushing the grey button with the other. Perhaps this is the magic trick? Ought to go and test it now and see but really can't face doing buggy practice in my spare time...

I've got another problem though - my buggy is literally falling apart at the seams, even though only been used for 8 weeks (for newborn and 23 month old). The main seat is coming apart on 3 different seams (eg 4 inch gap opened at back where baby's head goes) - new seat has been ordered but so far taken 3 weeks + to arrive. In the meantime, seams on the double seat have started to go (3 inch gap on both sides where the mesh bit by toddlers bottom is). Anyone else had this problem??? (It's a sport in dark blue). Actually might start another post on this as am so shocked!

Thatsnotmymonster - I have the same trouble with the grey button too. It seems to be when i'm holding the buggy off the ground when i press it. If i lie it down, press the button then pull the handle up it seems to work fine iykwim
