Which high back booster (without harness?)

Every time it comes to move up a car seat stage I end up in a muddle!

My ds1 is ready to move on from his maxi cosi tobi and I had just about decided to get a maxi cosi rodi for his next seat.

Today a good friend has recommended the Graco Junior Maxi to me. I've had a look into that, but Graco also do a Logico L and LX comfort. I'm struggling to tell the difference between them really!

Can anybody give me any feedback if they have any of these seats? My main concern (apart from safety) is that my son still often sleeps in the car so I want him to be well supported and not flopping about iykwim.

Thanks.

the britax isofix one came out top in the which test.

then it was the maxi cosi rodi, and then the evolva 2 3 I believe

however, the maxi cosi one didn't fare as well on some things as car seats lower down the list. it got the second spot due to being very easy to install.

iirc

for some reason which never seem to include any graco ones in their tests which is a real shame cos a lot of them are very reasonably priced and i'd be really interested to see how they do

Yes I wonder why that is about the Graco's?

I think we've decided on the maxi cosi rodi - does anybody have one of these? What do you think about it?

I have a Jane Indy Isofix and with the Isofix it is rock solid in the car. I have noticed a lot of people do have the maxi cosi rodi so it's obviously a good seat. I chose isofix for one reason I have the facilty in my car, and secondly because it's anchored to the car it's not loose when DS isn't in it.

DD has a Maxi Cosi Rodi XR. It's pretty good. It's easy to adjust height-wise, and fits in the car well. If you read that it reclines the fit is all that this is good for - it's not a recline like you get in the previous stage, for the child to go to sleep, it just helps it fit in the car. That said, on the rare occasions DD falls asleep in the car these days she's pretty comfortable (the only time she wasn't she was wearing a dressing gown with a hood that pushed her head forward, there's a tip for you!)

The only disadvantage I've really seen with it is that it doesn't have a cup-holder. Seems trivial, but the alternative is no drink on a long journey, or having a child propelling themselves across the car to get at any built-in cupholders you might have. I bought a separate one that clips on, but it's a bit rubbish.

I don't have an Isofix seat for DD because although the car has Isofix none of the highback boosters on the market fit the particular fit of Isofix we have. Grr.

The lack of recline is a definate downside to this stage of car seat!

I have a couple of Maxi Cosi Rodi's - they're great IMO. Very comfortable for dd's and fit really securely in every car that I've used them in

Right. I'm getting one of these then!

Just been hunting down the best price that I can find and am off to our local shop in the morning to see if they will price match (they did on the Tobi) as I like to shop locally if I can.

Thanks for your input
