You need to look for a buggy with a back like th eMAclaren Twin techno. There has to be a supporting post for the board to attach to.
see here for ideas on what to look for

I would say the Nipper Out & About, the Mountain Buggy Twin proclaims its suitability with buggyboards (even two at a time!) but I would want to save every kilo with that many DCs. The Jane Powertwin has its own board but I doubt you can recline the back seat when using it. Or there are the ABC (I think) 3 wheelers which have a seat on the hood.

Just been on that site and they list a few 3 wheel twin strollers, any idea what a good one is?? love my phil and ted its all compact...the side by side ones look huge!!

Do you have a buggyboard already or would you need to get one? I used to have an Urban detour with a Kiddyboard on the back. It was really light to push even loaded with children!! It is quite a big buggy but very comfy for babies.

I've also had a buggy board on the back of a p&t's but wouldn't recommend it for everyday use. It used to knacker my back after a while.

I sound a bit buggy obsessed but......have used a Jane powertwin with a normal buggyboard on but I found it quite heavy and hard to steer.

Out of the 3 I've used I would say the Urban Detour was the easiest because you don't have to fit the buggyboard child between you and the bar to push so it makes it easier on your back.

I think the Powertwin would be fine with a board on the back even when fully reclined.

mogs0 haven't bought a buggy board yet as not looking after my niece til begin of May, and my p&t's fine for my two younger ones...will need one when my little boy starts pre school as will have the two babies when i pick him up and he's not a great one too walk!! maybe i should just put the board on my p&t as its only 3 days a week??

We have a double mountain buggy and they are expensive new (I got mine very cheaply from the local paper) but I'd say they are worth it. It seems indestructible. I use it when I look after my friends dd, pop my ds in next to her and my 4yo dd just sits on the front plate if she gets tired. Even loaded down with 3 children like that it is incredibly light and sturdy.

I have just put a buggy board maxi on my P & T's. I have found it easy to push if I stand at the side.
Sounds a strange way of doing it but it doesn't hurt my back or wrists and still got to school on time .
Only downside is that I now need to find a bag to carry it in for when I don't need it on when out as you cannot use a strap to hold it out of the way as the second seat is there.

Has anyone heard of or got a SAFETECH DOUBLE JOGGING STROLLER?? and if you have are they any good?

ML - do you have a pannier bag for the P&T? They're quite roomy and I used to attach mine to the back of the second seat for quick and easy access!!

Has3 · 05/03/2009 18:24

So the P&T works ok with a buggy board doesn't the child on the buggy board wack their head on the handle?

On mine, the child stood just behind the bar so he could hold on to it and I either stood behind him, having to stretch a bit, or, as ML said, stand to the side and push it. I was looking after 2 large 2yrolds and a 1yr old when I needed to use the board with the P&T so the combined weight was quite heavy but I'm sure with 2 babies and a 3 yr old (who may walk sometimes(?)) you'll be ok. At least if you've already got the P&T you can try it out and if it doesn't work then think about an alternative.

Has3 · 05/03/2009 20:05

mogs, what make buggy board did you use on the P&T?

It was the Lascal buggy board. I think it's the 3G or Maxi. It's the newer one rather than the original which wouldn't fit with the doubles seat on. The newer 3G has an extra "arm part" included making it long enough to fit.
