they are spring loaded, they stretch pretty wide

Biglips · 02/03/2009 20:02

it'll be fine, as macdog says, the clip thing itself is sprung, it'll open as wide as you need it, and there's a big gap between the top of it and the yellow plastic bit

Biglips · 02/03/2009 20:09

or it is better to get one of these or are they all the same?

I bought this one and it was too short for our big old doors (high ceilings).

However this one which I borrowed from my brother did. So the extra tenner was obviously for four more inches of elastic

Biglips · 02/03/2009 20:16

yes i have a high ceiling too.

will have a look once ive fed dd2

The only doorway in my house where I would want ds to bounce was far too thick to take a bouncer. I ended up buying a 2nd hand free-standing one which was excellent. I've now up-graded to a new one for my childminded children and it's fab. It's made by Tippitoes and they sometimes come up on ebay. I'll go and have a look to see if there are any there at the moment.......

mogs0 · 02/03/2009 20:38

.....sorry, couldn't find one and tried googling but couldn't even find a picture of it.

'To be used in internal door ways only the door frame must have a permanent secure architrave at least 1.5 (0.5 inches) wide. Wall must be at least 10cm (4 inches) thick and no more than 17cm (6.75 inches)'

This refers to Lindam one, but expect they are all similar.

Biglips · 05/03/2009 14:24

hi got it and it just fitted.

Roughly what age do babies start enjoying these?

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/03/2009 16:30

Ds almost 5 months (but physically strong for his age) and has just started going in his in the last couple of days.

Biglips · 05/03/2009 17:42

well mine is 5 months old and you can start using them as soon they are able to support and hold their heads

Cheers

alittlebitshy · 06/03/2009 14:10

when do they get fed up with them? my ds is 7 months, would it be worth it?

also - all the doors in our house have glass above them (except downstairs loo ) would that be safe, as it is presumably clipped onto frame not the glass?... but... worrier here....

Biglips · 07/03/2009 09:20

prob till they start walking. :-)
