Does anyone have a PDA and if so, can you advice me on what i should be looking for.

Its DH's birthday on Monday and thats what i'm getting him!
He is on Lotus Notes (so diary must be compatible), some colour, some games and a good sized memory.

Any thought/recommendations !?!?!

Many thanks

blossom2, just out of interest can I ask if you decided to go with a PDA of some kind of lucky-man's Bday, or some other gift ?

(just being nosy)

Hi Hub2dee, its a birthday present for DH.

our DD has got him a bluetooth handsfree for his phone (quite advanced for a 3 yr old) and the PDA is from me. He really does have 'everything'.

I'm leaning towards a Palm as well since they are so cheap. We can get software to run Lotus Notes on the Palm for £50 from the web so that'll be easy. And he only really needs it for his diary, some games and perhaps email - doesn't need the phone, camera or video since he already has those gadgets.

He used to have a blackberry from work and misses it dearly (he had to give it back since we've moved to paris).

I'm half frog, b2. Are you / dh French or just there for work ?

Please eat a religeuse at the nearest steallar patisserie for me.

LOL at dd's bluetooth headset. Daddy will be pleased. Clever little mite.

If you get a Palm, and he wants to use it retrieve e-mail on the move through his mobile, make sure it's a model with bluetooth. The very cheapest models don't have it. Also, there are a few models in the range that take Palm's WiFi SD stick thingy. It allows your Palm to access WiFi networks at home / work / airports / cafés etc. It might be an add on he can get at a later date if he's feeling particularly geeky.

Have a lovely weekend.

Dh likes his gadgets!!!

Oh Dh is seconded here for 3 years (minimum) and we live about 20 minutes walk from the Eiffel tower. Its nice and we are enjoying being here. Which part of France are you from?

I just got him the most amazing cake - they let you try before you buy here! its great. lots of chocolate, cream but unfortunately he's also diabetic so more for DD & me!!!

I'm only half French. I've only lived in the UK (aside from romantic interludes with French laydees) . Mum's frog, dad's English.

So sorry they make you try the cakes before you are allowed to buy. How harsh.
