What to look for in stage 1 car seat?

Just starting to have a look at the 9 month + car seats and am a bit stumped - what should I be looking for in the product information bit on websites?

So far my criteria is this:

Needs to be lightweight (as much as possible, anyway, I can't drive myself so using lightness as a gauge of how easy it will be to transfer to different cars - is this a good way to tell?)

Needs to not be the most expensive car seat going, I'm sure the cheaper ones are just as safe.

Should recline, I think, for sleeping?

Should not be one which converts for an older child, because the recline isn't as good, right?

Does not need isofix, we haven't got it anyway.

Needs to be from a brand with good reputation as it needs to last for 2 children.

Any other pointers? We have got a DS aged 4 months at the moment (hence only just starting to look) and we plan to have more children in the future, the plan is when #2 gets to 9 months, we will buy a convertible seat which goes from 9 months to 11 years and DS will go into that where #2 will have DS' seat which we are buying now.

We've got a maxi cosi tobi which is so easy to fit and incredibly sturdy once in. It isn't really light but is very simple to move between cars. It has fitted in every car that we've ever wanted it to (including taxis and a Portugese minibus!). It has a good recline which I agree is really important at this age. DS1 is just about to move into the next stage seat and this seat is in perfect condition to last for ds2. It was well worth the money

we've got britax first class si. once i got used to it very straight forward and easy to fit and reclines. if you look on internet you can get them quite a bit cheaper than just walking into mothercrae or babies r us for example
