Is this any good?

We have a bugaboo, but want to get a cheapish lightweight buggy for when we go on holiday.

DD is 11 months old at the moment, but is a small baby.

yyou can get similar for a lot less money.

EllieG · 09/02/2009 20:33

I have this - bought for same reason, holiday, and have never gone back to my bigger buggy, is great, really portable but sturdy enough to be comfy, reclines nicely if they want a nap, and is easy to steer.

Those are OK but you might need something with more seating positions if your baby is small, the Maclaren Quest might be better.

NorktasticNinja · 09/02/2009 20:52

Another vote for the Maclaren Quest here, it would suit your needs better. Here.

Yep - Maclaren Quest perfect for your needs!

EllieG · 09/02/2009 20:53

Oh, is the quest I have actually, sorry. Another vote for that.

nicolamumof3 · 09/02/2009 20:53

triumphs are nice but no leg rest or far recline if your dc still wants to sleep.

i love my maclarens but just bought an obaby for £60 which has much better features then the triumph. ok not the same/usual maclaren quality but great for holiday the only lie flat i could find for that money too!

babyOcho · 09/02/2009 21:33

Thanks all.
Going to try them out tomorrow at a local shop. See how DD gets on with them.

Hmm, I've had 3 quest's, a triumph and a volo (amongst many others!!). My childminder has a triumph and has used it since having my dd (aged 5 months 1 week) but I agree the quest is better?

I noticed the diff to my bugaboo but if it is just for holidays/sling in back of car they are sooooooooooo easy in comparison!!

babyOcho · 10/02/2009 19:28

Not one to hang around, we go the Maclaren quest today! Thank you all!

Now, does anyone happen to know whether the Bugaboo Cam mosquito net will fit or do I need to get different one? It's up in the loft at the moment and I dont want to wake DD.

maclaren are bringing out their own mossie nets which will fit perfect just like their raincovers!

have a look on accessories here www.maclarenbaby.com

carrielou2007 · 10/02/2009 20:17

I never used my mos net on my cam, depends where you are going as I always use a shade-a-babe so great for sun protection, light rain and think would be ok for mosi??

i am looking at the quinny zapp for the same reason but put off by the no-recline or shopping basket issues....

really want a 3 wheeler as quite a walk from apt to beach and last year my m&p couldn't hack it but don't want to lug phil & teds...

thoughts on the zapp please!
