Looking for a pushchair: Nearly four.

Hi, I am looking for a really light-weight pushchair for my four year old. Going on holiday, last year when on holiday: he fell asleep and his feet would drag along the bottom. Have a stroller jeep and mclaren but not long enough!!
Was thinking of the Petitie Star Zia or the Bebe confort Vit.

Any suggestions or advice would be gratefully received.

are you going to be doing a lot of walking????

if not am sure your 4 yr old will manage without a pushchair surely?? seems crazy to buy one

Yeah we will be walking a lot, were off to Florida again...have learnt from past experience it is cheaper to buy a pushchair rather than hire.

It is a long day at the parks and he does still like to sleep. I agree he is a bit big for a pushchair but I'd rather not have a grumpy kid!

what about a volo? good and sturdy and light to carry. wouldn't think the others you've mentioned much good space wise for a 4yr old? best seat size will be a maclaren xt or xlr but thats a lot of money to spend on a 4yr old for a holiday unless you can pick one up s/hand.

My five year old was pushed back to the challet in her 20 month old sisters Quinny Zapp quite comfortably while her sister walked when we were on holiday.

ask on freecycle. I just got a cheapo one to take on holiday from there.
will use it while we're away and then put it back on freecycle when we get bac,k

have a bebe confort vit, my 2 year old son's feet drag on the ground (althuogh he is tall for his age) and it's heavy to push, although a nighmare to steer with no baby in it, ie-when they want to walk as it goes off in all directions! If your thinking of having other kids I would go for a mountain buggy urban or baby jogger city, they both have huge seats and very easy to push with a toddler, but also take bassinets for newborn.

Thanks naomi8, I really liked the look of the Vit.....I will certainly avoid!!

Maclaren Major Elite will def be big enough, again, try ebay or Freecycle.

We went to Florida for Christmas and ended up hiring a buggy for my 5 year old son as we walked miles each day in the theme parks so I know what you mean!! Def worth buying a cheap one to take. In fact they sell buggies at Disney world for $40 if you dont want to take one - still works out cheaper than hiring as we paid $15 a day!
