TERRACED HOUSE- WHAT SIZE TRAMPOLINE?

cocopops · 08/02/2009 12:57

We have a long but narrow garden and am toying between the TP 8ft and the 10ft.

The 10ft I think would engulf the garden so am leaning towards the 8ft. My DD is 5 and I want it to last for many years.

Any opinions/thoughts?

TIA

We're also in an end terrace with a long narrow(ish) garden. We've got the 8ft and its fine for my two DD's. Its just big enough for them both to be on it but also small enough/light enough for me to move it to cut the grass underneath. My neighbour has the 10ft and she can't move it on her own and it swamps her garden - you have to walk around it to go up the garden!

We have a long, narrow garden (7m/22ft wide), but the area for a trampoline is even narrower because of overhanging trees.

We have a spring-free trampoline, which is 12ft wide and has a 12ft jumping area. This is because the conventional springs (which add 2 feet to the width of your trampoline) are actually vertical carbon fibre rods.

I think whatever you go for consider the fact you may have to move it to cut the grass...the difference in weight between an 8ft and 10ft is quite big. My two DDs (aged 10 and 5) play very happily on an 8ft and whilst I'm sure they'd love a bigger one they're pretty ugly things to look at up your garden (the trampoline, not the kids!) and I couldn't move a 10ft on my own.

We have three people move our trampoline for grass cutting.

Thanks everyone. We are going to put play bark down in the area where the trampoline is going to go so cutting grass not an issue!

Found this helpful thread! We have the same problem- long narrow garden. When you say spring free trampoline- is that a rectangular or round? Would love to know brand etc! Also- are the 8ft round?

scienceteacher · 11/09/2025 19:18

Wow, old thread.

The brand is called Springfree. Home - Springfreeâ„¢ Trampoline United Kingdom

We have a round one, but they also come in oval.

Since posting on this thread, we don't move our trampoline for mowing. We have let it rewild.
