Where can I buy some coloured/patterned muslins?

DS appears to be adopting the muslin as a comfort blanket, and I am so bored of the plain cream ones I have.

Does anyone know anywhere that sells nice coloured/patterned ones? Online if possible!

Apparently the blooming marvellous site is now back up (haven't checked myself) and I got some really fun ones from there with cars and things on them.

Just checked. here they are. But to see the nicest ones, click on alternative view under the photo and then look at the blue ones in the middle. I really like them.

I got some coloured ones on ebay

rempy · 04/02/2009 10:12

Sainsburys do blue ones, and therefore probably pink.

I just bought some nice ones from asda, pack of three with one plain and two patterned

I dyed all ours bright red and purple with Dylon machine dye. It was v easy and they looked really cheerful.

missmama · 04/02/2009 10:29

I bought the asda ones, lovely stars and shades of blue here.
Ikea also did colour bundles.

I got patterned ones from Boots iirc when DS was born. Plain blue, patterned blue and purple in a pack.

Northernlurker · 04/02/2009 10:30

Boots ones were lovely and wore very well

IKEA does

Barnslig muslins, come in blue/green or red/orange at £2.93 for 3

You are all wonderful! I had completely failed to get any. I suspect we may soon have an overdose of coloured/patterned muslins.

Horton did the colour come out at all when your DC sucked them? I was contemplating machine dye, but wasn't sure if DS would end up with a red mouth!

Jaine xx

mumo75 · 04/02/2009 12:24

oops just noticed someone has already said dye them

no the child doesnt end uop with a red mouth lol
you add salt to packet of dye to seal the colour

Horton · 04/02/2009 12:55

"Horton did the colour come out at all when your DC sucked them?"

No, they're completely colourfast to at least 40C. I suppose if your child had a ragingly high temperature and really chewed them a bit of colour might come out but in that case, I think you'd have more to worry about than a red mouth!
