Searched the archives, but there's only one person who's ever mentioned having one.

Does anyone else, and if so how do you rate them?

We've got one and it gave me a lot of peace of mind when DD first moved to her own room, and again when she chose to sleep on her front. She's always seemed comfortable on it, although it's really very firm. On balance, I think like it.

Being, basically, a mesh covered frame it doesn't provide much insulation at all and the surface doesn't warm up with body heat. So, you need a thicker sleeping bag than you would with a solid mattress and possibly a blanket too. I put a blanket under the mattress to cut cool drafts from the floor, if the room was really drafty it could have been a problem in winter. BUT it's great to know she wont overheat easily.

The frame makes it quite difficult (but not impossible) to tuck in a blanket. Oh, and you need to take the mattress out of the cot to change the sheet.

It's great for if DD is sick in bed though, the moisture just falls straight through and the mesh is really easy to wash and refit.

Thanks NN.
Ds is already a tummy sleeper, and that's one of the reasons that this appeals. Have just ordered one . Have ordered one of their sheets too, but can see it could be a pain to have to take it out of the cot every time to change it.

Hello, resurrecting your thread, just to give you my experience, I wrote a review for it a little while ago on another site:

"I was attracted to this mattress not only for it's safety and reduced SIDS risk, but also because of it's longevity - It claims to hold the weight of up to an six year old and is suitable from birth. I bought a cotbed so thought it would last me a few years, not so. My son is two and despite having always slept well on it, it doesn't seem the comfiest and since putting him on to a sprung mattress he seems to sleep longer.
Throughout the time I have had the Purflo (2 years), I have had to get replacement parts three times as the middle plastic connectors have broken causing the mattress to sag. Very unsettling as twice this has meant I have found in the morning my son's weight is resting upon the bottom with the bar digging in his back. Surely not comfortable or safe. If it can't take the weight of a two year old I don't see how it can be used for up to 6 years old. Each time I have gone through the retailer I bought it from, who passed on the details to Purflo, I then have had no communication or concern expressed by Purflo, just an anonymous envelope containing the parts sent to me.
So buy this for safety in the short tem if you like, but not for comfort, or longevity."

I know it's a bit late as you've ordered, but so you know what to expect!
