IF money was no object... lightweight rearfacer?

So, dh told me I should just buy what I want - however much it costs. (This is not actually an option... looking at our finances )

BUT

if it was no object, could I buy something to tick ALL the boxes (have a feeling I couldn't)

  • lightweight (properly lightweight + easy to push, find the maclaren hard sometimes)
  • easy to steer
  • rearfacing
  • folding, though doesn't have to fold particularly small
  • lie flat seat
  • um... big basket
  • integral buggy board (though could add a buggy board I guess)
  • 4 wheels prob
  • able to push one-handed
  • have to drag it up 3 steps to our communal hallway

what do you reckon?

I have an iCandy Cherry which I like a LOT except
-front wheels sticking so currently on fixed... this could be fixed???

  • not a lie flat seat
  • no integral buggy board/anywhere for dd to stand n hitch a lift (though am gonna get)

Is there a lighter rearfacer than the Cherry (the Bee? It's small? And damned expensive for something that looks like medical equipment [grin)

Come on experts - if money was no object, what would you buy?

bugaboo?

f1nut · 26/01/2009 16:09

bugaboo without a doubt

what, the bee? i thought that might be the answer ( cos whatever dh says, we can't afford £350 on a pushchair, especially when we already have two - and a double )

and the bee looks so horrible - and isn't it really small? and does it have a basket? can you fit a buggyboard to it? maybe will go and try out...

Pliko Switch? Not sure about one hand push though but I push an umbrella fold with tow hands and instead of holding DS's hand I use a wrist rein so he's still near me

Silver Cross Linear (I think) is lovely to push although hasn't got a buggy board and folds in 2 pieces.

Chicco for me?

the bee is the lightest and easiest to fold

Umlellala · 26/01/2009 16:33

see! need to tell dh, there just ISN'T one out there that does everything...

I push(ed) the Maclaren one handed so am sure it is doable with the switch though am v tempted to get a M&P venezia which is kinda the old version of the switch (i think) though not sure about steering...

Folding isn't the most important (I usually take kids upstairs then come back down and do buggy. though the two part fold thing is def a 'con' with the icandy)

any other suggestions i may have missed...
