Food flasks, I need a really good one that will keep hot for ages, it's not too much to ask for is it?

I have bought food flasks in the past, i've spent between £4-£6 on them and all of them have been crap.

Is it a case of you get what you pay for?

I need one that will keep food really warm/hot from when I prepare it in the morning until lunchtime.

I have seem Thermos food flasks for around £18.00 but to be honest I don't want to pay it if it's crap but I don't mind paying it if it's good.

Does anyone have a really good one that can recommend, and will keep pasta/rice/soups etc hot for aaaageeesss.

Thank you.

I can remember reading recommendations on the Money Saving Expert site for the ones in Wilkinsons. They're around £5. We don't have a local store so I haven't seen one in the flesh. HTH

I have a stanley make one. It's in the shape of a big mug with a spoon that slots onto the lid. It is all plastic so you can put it in the microwave. I have only used it for porridge which I dont mind less than stonking hot so I am not sure what it would be like for savoury stuff that needs to be hot - soups etc.

I have just bought a Thermos Food Flask from Sainsbury's for £6, and used an old Tesco brand drinks flask for DD's lunch this week. Both said their soup was too hot at lunch.
There was a metal version of the Thermos food flask, which was £19, but I bought the plastic version (still has glass inside, with a plastic inside too so that a spoon won't smash the glass, a compartment in the screw-top lid, and a flippy spoon...!!)

The trick is to fill the flask with hot water so that it is already warm before it is filled with hot soup.
