Anyone about to give a bit of advice on my Storch woven wrap?

I've been carrying DD in it on my front for a few months but recently it's got a bit uncomfortable. It feels like it's digging into my neck a bit, almost like it's too tight there. It also digs in at the other side of my shoulder. What am I doing wrong? Is it too loose? Too tight? TIA

can you take a picture of yourself with you and baby in it? its difficult to say from how you described it. What carry are you doing and with what size? Also are you spreading the wrap out on your shoulders or is it scrunched up? How big is your dd?

Sorry, have just seen this. DD is in bed now but I can take a pic tomorrow. She's about 25lb, I know it's a bit big for front carry but it's been comfortable up until really recently. I'm doing a front cross carry with a 4.6m I think. I usually scrunch up the wrap so I can use my arms as I'm usually shopping. It's like the strap bit, rather than resting on my shoulder is sliding up my neck and digging in. Maybe she's just too big. Thanks for answering mrsleroy, sorry for delayed reply!

Hmmm I think a picture would help. from what you have said when you do a fwcc you will need to pull the wrap well down before you cross across your back. BTW thats not too heavy to carry your dd.
My ds is 3.5years and I am 25 weeks pg and am still carrying him in a fwcc when he needs it. He kind of just lays over the bump.
looking forward to pics

Thanks for answering When you say pull the wrap down, do you mean when I make the initial pouch, just before I cross it round my back? I'll post a pic in the morning so you can see better. Glad to know she's not too big for a front carry, I'm still not mega confident getting her on my back in the Storch although I'm practising. Atm I'm using a mei tai for back carries instead.

Hi there.
Are you still pre tying and 'threading' LO into the crosses, then pulling the pocket up over her? If so, switching to putting DD in the pocket and wrapping the crosses over her before tying the knot behind you would make a big difference straightaway. If you already wrap over DC in situ, experiment with gathering the shoulders very neatly to spread the weight and flipping them away from your neck. I also find symmetry important when wrapping a heavy baby.

I put dd in before crossing and tying. Thanks, I'll try and wrap her more carefully. When you say flip away from the neck, do you mean sort of fold it back or just push it?

flip away from the neck: take the rail that is digging into your neck and pull it over so that it caps your shoulder.

Thanks foxy, I try it later once DD wakes up.
