Bugaboo buggy board - is it worth getting one??

We were leant a bugaboo frog for DD1 and still have it now DD2 is on the scene - back in the pram format. I'm loathed to get a double buggy as DD1 is 2 1/2 and hopefully won't need a buggy for too much longer - so was thinking a board would be a good option. The bugaboo buggy boards seem pretty pricey though at around £50 - are they worth it?? I've seen some pretty mixed reviews and would be good to hear what people think before investing???

Bumping for you.

Well I loved it. Is quite large but the shape meant it didn't get in the way of me walking. Very very manoeuvrable and good on steps and kerbs. DD could (and still does occastionally) sit on it, she first used it at 2 and a half and is now 5 and a half.

i've got a bugaboo and just use a litaf buggy board. think it was about £30 rather than £50.
Its absolutely fine, been using it a year now.

I love mine as dd1 (now 5) is a right lazy bugger and hates walking. I'd have gone mad without it...

We loved ours.
Fitted two children on it, so youngest in the pram or pushchair, then middle in front of the handle bar and eldest behind the handle bar, all stacked up in a sweet row, up to age 5 for longer walks.
very sturdy - handled very bumpy tracks and kerbs fine.
A bit annoying how you have to turn the pushchair upside down to fit it on, but did fit on simply and very firmly.
I've had my children on buggy boards from 2.0 yrs.

Good to hear some positive comments - thank you. Is it easy to take on and off as and when you need to - because I wouldn't need it on there the whole time??

I got a Lindam step seat which has 2 platforms as dd1 wouldnt stay on the buggy board when she was tired, she kept saying her legs were tired so obviosuly didnt want to stand but with this one she can stand or it which is perfect.

Is relatively easy, But I do leave mine on all the time - comes with a strap with toggled elastic so you can flip it up when not in use. And it being on doesn't effect the closing/opening of the chassis.

We've just got one and I'm finding it a bit difficult. Even with pushchair handle in highest position, I still feel like I'm either walking off to the side or like a cowboy. I hope with a bit more practice that I'll get the hang of it. My dd is also 2.5. We're doing the bugaboo in carrycot position for new dc with buggyboard for dd but also buying a double side by side stroller for longer walks. I also think, if its freezing cold, the little one will have icicles dangling from her on the buggy board!
