Are all footmuffs/cosytoes the same length......need a longer one!

My current footmuff seems to be too small for my DS 15mths...hes not that tall!

Are all footmuff the same? This one is a winnie the pooh hauck.

Any ideas? When did your child start to not fit in their cosytoes? My friends daughter who is a similar age seems to be outgrowing her quinny one too!

NO you can get longer ones, you need to ask for the measurement from the crotch strap hole to the end.

fairimum · 11/01/2009 01:11

the buggy snuggle ones are long, my nephew still fits in at 4.5!

savoycabbage · 11/01/2009 01:13

Yes my buggysnuggle is massive.

onadietcokebreak · 11/01/2009 08:16

I was thinking of a biggy snuggle......anyone got any cheap links?

Buggy Snuggles are bigger but kind of expensive, you normally get them 2nd hand on Ebay for around £20.

I bought one a while back for my tall 2YO and it just fitted him so you should have plenty of room, my DS is about the size of a 3YO so you do get wear out of them just not suitable for us.

Are you in UK?

mamadiva · 11/01/2009 08:40

Navy Buggy Snuggle.

Black Buggy Snuggle.

Plain Buggy Snuggle.

ALVI footmuff

I'd say go to about £25.00 if you can they normally go around that.

mamadiva · 11/01/2009 08:42

I gotmine from Here

Also meant to say a word of warning, if you get one I'd get a super duper snuggle (they are called that I'm not mad Honest!), as they are quite thin.

extremelychocolateymilkroll · 11/01/2009 09:03

These look great. Does anyone know if they fit Bugaboo Bees?

onadietcokebreak · 11/01/2009 09:15

thats everyone they look good. Will keep an eye on ebay. They do look funky and considering I didnt actually pay for last footmuff I cant complain!

Next search a bin that DS cant open!

Try here: Snunkie. She will make any size or shape you want, lovely colours too.

Haribolicious · 11/01/2009 22:02

Love the Snunkie website cornet - the custom made hoods are a great idea to revamp/update an old pushchair, especially if you got a dark coloured one for a boy and then have a girl...you can make it look more girlie - love it!

onadietcokebreak · 11/01/2009 23:00

Love the Snukie website too...just sadly a bit out of my price range. Going to look on ebay for a second hand buggy snuggle!

I just got my buggy snuggle and I'm a bit disappointed that it's not bigger as I got it cos my old one got too small. My 2 year old does fit but not a lot of room to spare. The fabric is lovely though.

onadietcokebreak · 12/01/2009 23:06

I have been persuded to make do with a blanket by the ladies in work.....I cant justify the expense considering I hardly use his buggy these days as work full time!

We have a buggy snuggle too as the lovely dark brown fake fur one that came with the maclaren buggy was too small once DS was one. Hmmmmm v handy.

DS is 3.5 and still sleeps in the afternoon so I often take the buggy for him to nap in while we are out and about. The buggy snuggle still fits him. It's actually so liong that it drags on the ground......

we;ve had good use out of it (almost four years I guess) so it was worth it but suppose not so worth while if you are not going to use the buggy for much longer.

I would definitely recommend buggy snuggles as v happy with mine - often wish I could hop in with DS!

onadietcokebreak · 12/01/2009 23:23

oh my mind keeps swaying.....

DS is walking, hes 15mths....when do they normally stop using a buggy?

It really depends on your lifestyle. If you use a car a lot and don;t walk long distances you may well not get much use out of the buggy snuggle.

DS is 3.5 and we still use the buggy a lot as no car and I walk long distances most days plus DS still sleeps in buggy (and I find it useful for transporting my shopping!)

I am planning to sell my buggy and cosy toes at an NCT sale this summer as DS will be four so time to turf him out of the buggy once and for all!

lynniep · 17/01/2009 13:51

I just thought I'd pop my pennies worth in here as I've been through the 'what do I get for him how his footmuff is way too small' fiasco (I have a Silver Cross pop and bought the matching cosytoes - I don't recommend it - stupid design).

DS is 22 months, and a big boy, but not huge. I bought a buggysnuggle and was hugely pleased when it arrived - its beautiful and well made, however when I put him in it I realised its still too small for him - his feet still press against the zip at the bottom.

So I'm reselling it and have bought a second hand pupabag from ebay. Its not as pretty, but still well made, and most importantly theres a bit of overhang on the end so his feet arent squashed. I will recommend these from now on.

nappyzonehasastroppytoddler · 17/01/2009 13:56

i have one of these

It is really long and the bottom zips off so dirty wellies can poke out - it is really warm.

onadietcokebreak · 17/01/2009 19:38

thanks guys will look in ebay for bith a Kaiser and Pupabag.

Mamadiva has been asking if anyone has used a stay put blanket.....make me think about them too.
