Childproofing Electric Socket Area??

Is there a cage or something like that to stop my dd from going near plugs? I've got the plastic things for when the socket is not in use but how do you keep your lo away when something is plugged in or do I just accept that I can't use half the sockets in our flat? TIA

it is very difficult to actually hurt yourself with a socket anyway

dont worry about it, use them and tell your dd no

she will get the hang of it

Thanks NewQueen but she tries to pull the plug out and am worried that she will manage to do so. She is 16 months and whenever I tell her not to do something I see her eyes light up with the thrill of doing it again.

at that age you need distraction

she probably wont manage to pull them out nd if she does wont hurt herself

dont make a huge issue of it
and soon she will be finding something else to do that wont be desirable

Thanks NewQueen. At what age should I expect her to stop doing things if I tell her to or does that never come???

hmmm well my nearly 4 year old is starting to become slightly reliable to not do what I tell her not to do

it varies greatly dd1 was very obedient but dd2 is a cheeky little thing
