Safest Group 1 car seat?

How do I find out which is the safest group 1 car seat (I'm abroad so can't subscribe to Which online) and I see the Maxi Cosi says it's not suitable for all cars, how do I find out which cars it's suitable for?

and the rf equivalent of the group 1 maxi cosi tobi is called a mobi.

Thanks. The Mobi doesn't seem to be available in Spain, where I am. In fact, i can't find any RF seats for sale anywhere so i'm trying to find out which is the safest FF. Looks like the Maxi Cosi may be the way to go.

The Britax Evolva 123 is fab and I think it fits most cars

Bitax is often seen under the Roemer brand in Europe. The Duo is rated highly. Evolva isn't suitabel for many cars as it requires a long lenght of belt and may drown a lo. Britax also have a fitfinder.

Usually but some can't accommodate the foot in all positions.

Thanks everyone. The maxi cosi priorifix and Britax/Roemer Duo are easily available so I'll probably find more out about them.

The BeSafe Izikid can be imported to Spain from www.toddler.se - it's £300 or thereabouts inc P&P (slightly cheaper if you import to a business address). If you are not sure what seat will fit your car, call the Essex In Car Safety centre (their number is on the rearfacing website). They offer a free fitting service for people who can visit them in Essex, but will also advise by email or over the phone - they are building up a database of information regarding which seats (both FF and RF) fit in which makes and models of car. (Don't forget that the year of manufacture can also affect the size of your car interior too.)

We bought the Britax Duo Plus locked with Isofix and are planning to add a Top Tether. This is much more secure than just using seatbelts. However, getting the seat out takes a lot of time.
