Is there an alternative to ghd straighteners that is cheaper but actually works?!

Please help! My ghd's are broken and i'm desperate, i've had a look on ebay for second hand ones that aren't ridiculous price wise but i wondered if there's a good alternative?

When i got mine about 5 years ago the cheaper ones were rubbish, but are they any better now? I have really curly hair so i need something good to tame my locks!!

Thanks for your help!

Really sorry to confirm what I think you probably have suspected, but no - IMO you can;t beat GHD's. Got mine when they first came out as well and they sparked and fizzed about 6 months ago. Think the cheaper ones are false economy, but the good news is I sold my faulty ones on Ebay for £35!! I was very honest in the listing and they sold, so perhaps that might help towards the cost.

try these - they are fab and not too expensive with 50% off just now.

many hair straighteners are perceived to be solid ceramic straighteners when in fact they are only ceramic coated!

Well, I'm very pleased with my Babyliss ones which were about £15 on eBay. They do a great job on my hair, although it's wavy rather than really curly.

Oh sorry meant to add my hair is curly too and impossible to blow dry properly! Think that's why I need the industrial strength of the ghds!

i got some remington ones when my GHDs broke and they have been as good as my GHDs

they were £45 IIRC

my hair is curly too and i just brought new ghds for no other reason than i wanted to treat myself i have the new iv white ones and they are just as good as my old faithful black ones. i keep emanign to stick my old ones on ebay but am just concerned what would happen if they broke soon after someone brought them as they are a couple of years old now.

the ghd's do my hair so quickly my hair is very curly and they transform them into a glossy straight main until the next bout of wet weather.

I bought some She Hair straightners about 1.5 yrs ago on Ebay and they are brilliant. They then claimed to be as GHD's and I have compared them to the real GHD's and they look exactly the same. Mine are great and they were about half the price of GHD's.

Hi there, I have a Corioliss and they are fab... I have used GHD and find that Corioliss are just as good
