Can I wash a Jellycat Bear?

dd has conjunctivitis and has been wiping her eyes all over her bear. It is old and the washing instructions have faded so I can't read them.

Can I put him in the washing machine? He has beans or something in his paws.

If not could I dry clean him do you think?

Could you hand wash him, well, soak him for a bit as a sort of half way measure? (Get me, from slut to Bree!)

my son threw up over his beloved jellycat leopard in a major way. I decided to try it in the machine and buy another if it all went wrong and it came out fine -though I had a slight suspicion his jelly belly was not quite as full as it once was. I can't remember what temp as I usually wash everything at 40 but go to 60 if there are nasty bodily fluids involved IYKWIM..

You could maybe wrap in a pillowcase if you're worried about the beans spilling.

Do you think as she has conjuctivitis I should be washing it daily? Won't she just get re-infected, or does the gunge become non-infectious once it is out?
