Help!

LO aged 3 almost 4yrs is getting up at crack of dawn and becoming very tetchy by lunchtime.

We have tried various tatics to get her to go back to sleep but none seem to be very effiecient.

Have been told there are sleep alarm clocks for children such as a Bunny alarm clock where the bummy ears pop up or the one where a bunny is in bed?! Can you recommend any, and where the cheapest place is to buy these?

Thanks!

I used fairy lights on a timer for dd or you could use a light on a timer. More expensive options are on this website kid sleep night light, go glow clock, bunny clock

Isn't the crack of dawn gone 7 at the moment?

The bunny one is good and ideal as you can set the time which means at night its a night light and bunny is asleep, one its time to wake up the bunny is "up" iykiwm...John lewis sell them although cheaper on ebay.

We bought dd and ds ones from tesco which are ITNG and Thomas.
Not as good as the bunny one imo as you can only set one time..so can only set a time for thomas/ITNG to go to sleep and they wake the same time..so they sleep at 7pm and wake at 7pm so not idal if you wanted you lo to sleep at 7pm but wake at 7.30am iykiwm...(times have to be the same..)
But at around £20 much cheaper than the bunny....

Cheapest place for bunny alarm clocks is company called Sendaclock on the internet. They are £19.90 with free delivery. Hope this helps.

the bunnyclock shown on their site is similar to the ITNG/DISNEY etc ones we have...ITNG

imo the best one is this one.

Thanks for your help ladies.

Ended up buying a Thomas clock as LO obsessed with Thomas. Thought if we played on the idea that Thomas would need his sleep or Fat Controller would be cross, she might take it on board! No pun intended there!

Clock was set last night but she still woke, but hoping she will get idea over next couple of days. If not will have to rethink plan of action!

No luck so far in the night... sigh! But seems to get it in the morning. Still trying it combined with a reward/bribe might do the trick!

Have you told her that when "thomas" is asleep so should she be...try convinicing her by saying (friend/family/neighbours) are all in bed..this works with dd.."Oh x is asleep, and x" and she tends to do the same.

BTW,dd went through the same thing...waking at about 4am and wanting up etc. Thought the cycle would never end BUT it did. We found it coincided with the start of preschool about 3 months ago, seems to have settled now though. Good luke and let us know how things go x
