Our was from costco we got this one because although it's pricier than some, it's almost entirely safe - the enclosure is all built in, it's almost impossible to hurt themselves. Although I can't speak for what happens when you and two fuddled friends decide to do Flashdance at 2.30am on it

moondog · 17/11/2008 15:35

That is exactly what I probably would be doing (but submit AC/DC for Flashdance.)

Nice but fuck me,well pricey!

Sorry, linked to the US site - it cost us about £479, iirc.

moondog · 17/11/2008 15:40

That sounds better.
(I thought Costco sounded sort of bargain-y.)

I can't be doing with those cheap tatty ones with saggy nets.

moondog · 17/11/2008 15:40

£40!!! Marvellous

Am I being thick or has that Costco one only got sprinogs on one side???

OP posts:
moondog · 17/11/2008 15:42

OK, so remit now is nice posh(ish) one that can be sunk therefore eliminating need for aesthetically unpleasing nets.. Am assuming Costco one comes with all the nets and wotnot.

Even if the trampoline was sunk in the ground I would have a net on it.

There's no way I'd let my children do great running jumps at it. That's why trampolines are high up in the accident statistics.

[shrug] Injured child or a trampoline with net which might not look aesthetically pleasing... tough choice.

They're not safe at the best of times, I've just chosen to minimise the risks with ours. (FWIW, it's a 14' one from here )

moondog · 17/11/2008 15:51

Do they not do them in pleasing wood and leather and twine?

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 17/11/2008 15:52

You don't need to fall from a height or onto concrete to be badly hurt. Falling after an awkward bounce on a trampoline is not the same as the rather more predictable fall you get from a trip etc.

SoupDragon · 17/11/2008 15:53

I believe they have some in woven lentils but I'm not sure. I can't actually see my trampoline from either my kitchen or about half the garden when the trees are in leaf so I don't care what it looks like.

Eco friendly trampoline

Fimbo · 17/11/2008 15:56

We have one from B & Q. It is hidden behind a wasted space behind our garage. I can my dc on it from my kitchen window if I crane my neck round but it is not glaring in my face iykwim.

snigger · 17/11/2008 16:18

That was Sneaky, And Unneccessary

SoupDragon · 17/11/2008 17:40

It's never unnecessary.
