I am considering buying a Mei Tai type sling, but am wondering what bag I can carry? I tend to carry quite a lot of stuff, so it would need to be quite spacious.

I alwasy used a rucksack style when I had the sling on (keeping my purse and keys in the sling pocket)

An across the body one is OK but you'd not be able to take it off when your baby is in the sling. I had trouble with shoulder bags slipping off when BabyDragon was in her Coorie.

Why not just get one that you hold in your hand (assuming you don't have other dc who require hand holding)?

'Old Lady' shopping trolley....sorry!

Oh, I'll be definitely be getting a (new) shopping trolley!
I just want a bag to keep purse/keys/phone/nappies/wipes etc. in.
I was going to ask for a nice change bag for christmas eg. OiOi, but if shoulder bags don't work with slings, then I shall have to rethink.

I use a variety of different bags. I use an across the shoulder style over my sling without problem, but find it too heavy if out for a full day (3 kids stuff). Mostly I use a rucksack as it is kinder on my back.

I also have a Rolser trolley!

What about an onbag? If you don't have the money but can sew, the designer has offered the pattern free online as long as it isn't for commercial use.

I use a very cheap and ugly nylon cross body bag from. It is small but I can fit in wipes, 2 nappies, 2 bottles and milk powder or a bottle and a jar, wallet, phone, and keys.

I'm going to try to make an onbag but I'm going to make it a bit smaller because the onbag is quite big, I believe. There is a baby onbag too but I don't think she offers the free pattern for that one.
