Am buying a yankee candle gift like this to be mailed to my ill SM but have never ordered them before, but read lots of MNers saying how nice they are.

Which do you personally like?

Clean cotton for bathrooms/utility room, summer one in (ahem)summer in lounge, mulled wine in winter.
They are all lovely though and the scent always lasts to the end. Hope SM gets well soon.

singsong - that site os good value for money, and free p&p on orders over £15. Have you used them before?

Lauriefairycake · 09/11/2008 19:59

lavender sage

best value at www.qvcuk.com - you can get 18 sampler candles for about 23? quid plus p&p

'Wedding day' is my fave, because of its smell as much as the association, but perhaps not appropriate!

I love 'French vanilla' and lavender. But cheerycherry is right, they are all pretty delicious and, while expensive, they last for ages.

Hope your SM feels better soon.

Even better value here 18 samplers for £12.50 and they have some great offers !!!

Thank you so much for the site recommendations , they're much better than the one I found, and your favourite fragrances are just what I needed to know.

Unfortunately my SM is very poorly and probably won't make it to Christmas, my Dad has called in the hospice team and Macmillan nurses now. I wanted a gift that showed we were thinking of her but also something that would appeal to her senses.

Fab, thank you.

oh god how sad

What a lovely thought, candles that smell nice. The last of our senses to go too so she can go smelling something beautiful

French vanilla for the bedroom, that fresh linen for the rest of the house and there is another one that is fantastic for formal parties whose name I don't remember.

Oops sorry, I miss your last post

I wuld keep to the vanilla one, note that they have a very strong scent so they may be a bit overpowering in a small room (however they still smell great when not burning if you put them to the side of her bed)
