Anyone else with warm memories of this French children's TV serial might like to know it's on DVD now, just been rereleased.

Ha! My claim to fame is that Jackie, who sang White Horses and Rupert the Bear, was the daughter of our priest's housekeeper! Ha, beat that!!!!

elliott · 05/03/2003 14:52

No, I can honestly say that White Horses must have completely passed me by....but its reminded me about the Wooden Tops (here comes mummy wooden top...), Tales of the Riverbank and Wacky Races!

Oh! I thought this thread was going to be about Belle and Sebastian... the band!! sigh! i was already for a pseudo intellectual chat about the ponciness of belle and sebastian! (even though i still like them! - went to see them in concert a week before dd was born... sigh! it was the last date me and dh had before dd!!!)

lou33 · 05/03/2003 20:47

Dd1 looked like noggin the nog when she was born!

bayleaf · 06/03/2003 19:06

Mmmmmm elliott - I get my mumsnet name from the Herbs!

elliott · 06/03/2003 23:04

I don't remember a bayleaf - just parsley the lion, and the chives! I had a Herbs album, much loved!

elliott · 06/03/2003 23:04

and I always imagined you were a great cook, or gardener...(of course you could be those as well!)

Marina · 07/03/2003 10:35

He's the gardener...are you green-fingered then, Bayleaf? I loved Sir Basil and Lady Rosemary, and all the little marching chives. In fact, it was one of my all-time faves. I'm a very friendly lion called Parsley...
Lou33, then dd1 must have been a gorgeous baby. Noggin the Nog is very good-looking!

'I'm Bayleaf the gardner, I work from early dawn, keeping up the garden and tidying the lawn'

I can't believe no-one has mentioned the drop-dead-gorgeous-sexy Robinson Crusoe!! The moody B/W shots, the fabulous theme tune - ah!! First crush? Surely not!!
