Magnetic Paint - But does it REALLY stick?

I am trying to persuade dh to have a square of magnetic paint on the sitting room wall rather than a pinboard/magnetic board etc. Although dh is not totally opposed to the idea, he needs convincing that it really works and will hold up bits of paper attached by fridge magnets. He has agreed that the experience of fellow mumsnetters should be sought and if a mumsnetter says that it really works, then we can get going with the magnetic paint.

So, over to you, has anyone tried the stuff and did it work? at about £20 to cover one square metre, I'd appreciate finding out that it doesn't work before buying the stuff too!

Thanks in advance.

Dont know if it works as havent used it yet, but bought some last week at B and Q. New Art attack range of paint, about £6 I think- much cheaper than have seen in catalogues. Bought other ones too- black board paint and purple/pink heat sensitive paint- havent formulated plan yet though-just couldnt resist.

Pingu2, if we get some I'll remember to go to B&Q as it seems much cheaper than on the internet. Batters, does it work for A4 sized paper?

Again, thanks for the responses so far.

pingu2. thanks for that. I've been trying to think of cool things to do in the kids room that aren't too awful or expensive. I'm off to b&q tomorrow!
