Infant to toddler rockers - any good?

DD has become obsessed with sitting in her rear facing car seat in the living room Was wondering if something like this would be good for her for Christmas. Has anyone used one? Or does anyone else have any other ideas for what she could sit in? I wondered about a bean bag but thought she might fall off too easily. She's 14 months. Thanks

my friend had one of these for her DD and she loved it. I think the fact that it rocks and vibrates (eats batteries) makes it better than a bean bag! It's reasonably bulky though as the base seems quite wide.

Great stuff, it does look quite bulky which would be good. Wonder if it wouldn't be snuggly enough though as DD sort of snuggles in the car seat.

We have this and DD still uses it at 3+. Can highly recommend as at least you get some wear out of it, unlike other baby rockers.

Re the snuggliness factor, DD sometimes snuggles up with a fleece blanket and rocks in front of the TV like an old lady. It's not plush but comfy enough.

Oh good dd will probably be comfy enough then with her Tombliboo doll Thanks.

we have one of these, bought it when my DS outgrew his baby bouncer. It didn't get any use between 6-12 months but then DS started loving it again, and he's nearly two and loves sitting it it to read a book (ie-talk gibberish and turn pages like mummy) and the best thing is it'll be great for a newborn, when we're ready to do all that again

I bought this for our then 8 month old and took it back the next day. I found it dangerous as when my son lent forward it tipped up. I wanted a seat for him to move into after his bouncer seat which he had grown out of. I paid extra and bought a larger bouncer seat from M & P's. Maybe ok for older child who doesn't need to be strapped in and can climb out if it tips.

I'm looking for an infant to toddler rocker too, I'm liking the look of the Baby Bjorn Baby Sitter 1-2-3 Does anyone have one
?

We have it and having trouble with it at moment. My 7 month old keeps lifting herself up so shes almost going over the top even when strapped in.he can roll over in it too.
My 20 month old seems to like it though and can get in and out easily.

basically the infant to toddler name is slightly misleading. They're great for up to 5/6 months, but shouldn't really be used between 6 months to 1 year/ 1.5 years as kids can tip them up and fall. During this time period it's best to buy a big playmat like this shop.babyworld.co.uk/DisplayDetail.aspx?prodid=1381&secid=247 and let your kid kick/crawl away instead of sitting, and when they become toddlers and are walking and want a bit of a sit down, then you can use the chair again. None of these chair are great for 6months to 1 year, unless your baby is super chilld out/doesn't move!
