I want to get ds something new to play with in the bath ... most of those advertised are aimed at younger kids ... what do your dcs like?

DS (4yrs) also has few 'bath' toys, though he does have a water wheel, and a bath shower, which both suction on to the side of the bath.

He mainly enjoys a shiny Thomas bucket (got bought at easter with eggs in), lots of toy cars, and a mini watering can (originally from the garden).

so playmobil doesnt go yuck in the bath then? ds plays with his plastic animals etc sometimes but thought the playmobil bits may get ruined with soap etc

a toy teapot and some cups.
any empty container, mini shampoo bottles are a fave.
pick a different random plastic toy from toybox each bathtime (anything that is not going to break/get rusty/damaged in water)

bodiddly · 20/10/2008 21:43

ok, so general concensus is that general toys that dont get ruined in the water ... and that there aren't really many "bath" toys aimed at the slightly older kids. I thought as much!

dd baths with ds and they usually play with cups, empty bottles, nurofen or other medicine syringes which they use to squirt water at each other. They have never really played with 'proper' bath toys.

bodiddly · 20/10/2008 21:45

I guess it is easier when there are two of them!
