Tell me the best one.
I like looks of Jane slalom pro and Mountain Buggy Urban. Two totally different styles and expensive. Looking for light, strong, prefer bumper bar, 360 swivel, upright seat, decent storage, adjustable handle. Am selling all my others to buy this and do not want to make a mistake.

Hi Pushchair, I have the jane powertwin and had a jane powertrack before, can't recommend Jane pushchairs highly enough! Really easy to push (I have done the schoolrun with a mcclaren today as the jane had a puncture and could cheerfully have torched it if the dcs hadn't been in it!) and practically spins on the spot, easy to push one handed while walking a toddler, storage is reasonably good (raincover is currently stored in the basket but I still have enough room to get ds1's lunchbox in as well!). The only thing I would suggest is getting some of that slimy stuff (not sure of teh technical term!) to fill up the wheels as when you get a puncture it is heavier to push (although still nowhere near as unwieldy as my 'orrible mcclaren!). Oh and the seats are nice and wide so it doesn't feel like the dcs are perching and only the straps are stopping them from falling out! I got my powertwin from eBay for £180 inc 1 carseat, raincover, cosytoes and matching change bag which would have been well over £500 new so it may be worth looking there. Will also check my ebay account later as I found a seller in NI who was selling ex display models, think he may have worked for Jane as he didn't sell any other brands iirc.

Maybe I should have thought about paragraphs before posting

I use a Jane Powertrack as my boot of car buggy so it doesn't get used often. It is cool though because you can really easily fit two kids in it even though it is only designed for one. Can still now get my 4 year old and 2 year old in it if we have been on a really long walk or an extra toddler if there is one around! It rocks and sems to be indestructible.

Having said that I love my Maclaren city buggy too, as we live in middle of a town so mostly use that.

Just bought a Phil n Teds as now expecting another baby any day. I like it but feels much heavier and less wieldy than Jane.

I had a Powertrack which I wrecked on cobbles, supermarket trips along riverbank with overloaded shopping basket. I now have a MB urban and adore it.

Thanks for your input. I have a powertrack which I like things about- upright, wide seat, bumper bar etc. but it has a wobbly front wheel and I think is a tad old so was thinking of upgrading. After lots of second hand pushchairs I hanker after anew one

samueljohnstonltd is the ebay seller for jane pushchairs, it looks like they mainly sell new

Dottoressa · 17/10/2008 22:14

My Phil and Teds was my saviour. I could push it one-handedly when DS was a toddler on reins and DD was a baby; it fits through shop doorways and on buses; it turns like a dream. Ours had a total hammering on every imaginable terrain, and still sold for £180 on eBay three years later!

Your wobbly wheel will just need a screw adjustment. You local pram shop or even bike shop could probably do it if you can't.
It's a very common problem with Powertracks.
