Any double buggy experts? advice needed to find one which will fit into a Fiesta

I posted a week or so ago and got some advice about double buggies which will also work as a travel system for the baby. The Graco stadium duo one seems good value and will fit with our existing car seat. But looking at the measurements on the Graco website it is far to big to fit into the boot of our car (old Honda Civic) and it also needs to fit into my parent's car (Ford Fiesta) as my mum already looks after DS each week and will be looking after our new baby as well when I go back to work.

I don't suppose anyone can recommend a double buggy which will fit a car seat for a newborn which folds up small??? Or am I asking the impossible??!

Are the stadium duo measurements inc the front hood? I had to remove it to fit it into my citroen ax boot.

Would advise bumping in the morning, and going to monstercare and actually trying it out.

yep if you take off the front hood and play/snack tray it is much smaller, and it only takes a minute or two to remove them.
we had ours in a peugeot 306,and it was fine.
ps i thought it was a great buggy, great value and i loved it.
it is heavy though especialy if the toddler is heavy and the person pushing is little!

My Mothercare Hoxton folds up umbrella style and is quite compact but I don't know if there's a corresponding car seat. At the moment I lift ds4 from the car sear to the buggy, usually not a problem as he is hardly ever asleep!

I would think the Icandy pear would fit, it folds up quite small and takes a maxi cosi car seat.

the hoxton is quite long when folded, and you cant get a car seat to fit it.
i had a look at the icandy and the frame wasnt huge, but with the seat unit/carrycot in the boot it would be huge.

I find the Hoxton heavy to lift as well and heavy to push with ds3 in it though fine with ds4 on his own.

No experience of Stadium Duo, but used to have Fiesta. We had a Cosatto Duet Lite to start with. You do need to take off the hood (which takes 10 seconds at most - dead easy) and it then takes up at most half the boot. I walk loads, so it couldn't take the pace and started to fall apart after half a year (at least 5 miles a day plus a lot of c**p loaded on it). It was a nice pushchair though. We now have a P&T Sport. That also fits in (though took wheels off to get in and out easier - again 10 seconds each at most - dead easy). Loads on here about them but it took up practically the entire boot. Very little other stuff could be fitted in too. P&T also suffering a little (looks well loved!) but still going strong.

Oops - neither are travel systems. Sorry!
