Baby Monitors - Can Anyone Recommend a Good One with night-light please?

I'd like a monitor that is portable (lack of sockets in our house!), maybe has a night-light (again, that you can actually see by and not just a glow). I've been told that you can even get baby monitors with remote control lullaby's that play when the baby stirs, could anyone please recommend one to me?

Thanks for your help xx .

our bt digital monitor is great, it was only about £50 too and from boots so got advantage points!! it does have a nightlight but not that bright!

I have a Tomy Platinum and I think it's great as the night light enables me to bf during the night with ease. It's also great sound quality and virtually no crackle. The nightlight is much brighter than the BT one (as I have that too in my son's room) but it's a good bit dearer so not sure that it's really worth it for a better light. The model below - premier advance - has the same light but don't think it's digital so will prob sound fuzzy.

We love our tommee tippee one with movement sensor pad. Reassuring as it ticks/flashes green when baby moves (incl breathing) and alarms if none in 20 secs. Has night light too.

£55 from Argos.

Oh, thanks TMS (love the name ), that sounds great, I thought the ones with a sensor cost a lot more than that!

Its so good we bought a second one when we had dd2 !! great value and really accurate. Gives you quite a scare if you forget to turn the sensor pad off when you take DC out to feed in middle of night - mind you at least it means that DH actually wakes up !

Tomy platinum digital. Great gentle blue light and a talk back so DH when DD is refusing to go to sleep for him I can tell him what to do

It has had hard use and we had to buy a new battery at about 14m (cost £15). But I am very attached to it as we like to sit in our conservatory where we can't hear DD.

Plug the baby unit into a socket in the Nursery and the parent unit is rechargable so we leave it on charge in our bedroom at night and in the day and take it around with us during naps/in the evening. No interferance at all. Both have battery backup incase of power failure.

We have the Tommy tippee sensor one too and we wouldn't be withoiut it. I suffer from night terrors and constantly wake up thinking LO is in the bed and DH has rolled on top of her!! Now I just look at that little flashing light and know she is safe and sound. DH can now sleep in peace
