I have a phil and teds e3 which is fantastic for one or two and im really happy iwth it so dont want to sell to get yet another buggy. But, I need to attatch SOMETHING to it, for my ds1 who is 3 and being a total pain about walking. He goes to nursery, which is about half an hour away, and soon I will have a 20 month old ds and a 15 month old mindee in the buggy for the journey. I cant face the thought of having to cajole a hideously indignant ds1 all the way to or from nursery, twice a day and need something to pop him on if he gets too ridiculous. Any ideas?

I don't think it's possible to atach anything to a phil and teds. I've used a double maclarren with a buggy board for 3, adn also a mothercare urban detour (with DS1 piled on when he got tired)

oh god, im going to have to buy ANOTHER buggy arent I?

Not tried this myself but a friend used to let her oldest child sit in the front foot well.

LynetteScavo · 22/09/2008 22:02

Sitting on the front footwell doesn't work with a P&T - it does with other types of3 wheelers, though.

geraldinetheluckygoat · 23/09/2008 15:36

thanks mumlove, ds1 does sometimes do this (has a small bottom!) but does sometimes descend into squabbling as ds2 things it is license to continually nudge him with his feet when he is there!!

I just came on to check the same thing as my son is starting to reject the toddler seat on the Phil & Teds.
I will dismantle the buggyboard/buggy combo and try to reassemble it on the Phil and Teds and let you know.

sasamax · 23/09/2008 17:46

OK - it does fit.
I used the extender arms and attached to the rear axle. Without the extra seat, toddler has plenty of room - with the seat, he can still fit but not quite as comfortably. Also - bit of a pain to walk with pram set up for 3 but then buggyboards kind of do this to all prams. Def do-able though. Would need to really take it a few walks to get a proper idea. If you need to buy a buggyboard anyway, do this first and try it out - then decide if it's too annoying and you need another pram.

By the way I'm using a Phil & Teds Sport and a Lascal Buggyboard Maxi with extenders x

hana · 23/09/2008 17:48

I have a strolli and love it
use it on a maclaren tho, so not much help here

AccidentalMum · 23/09/2008 20:13

Mum round our way has a buggyboard on her E3.

babblington · 23/09/2008 20:22

I let my 4 year old sit on the roof bit - hasn't broken yet after a year, but not sure it's very safe!

geraldinetheluckygoat · 23/09/2008 21:41

Brilliant, thanks for checking sasamax, great to know it fits, if it isnt that comfy, praps it'll encourage him to walk!!
haha, I like the look of the strolli, does it make the buggy hard to push?
Accidental mum, does she use it with both seats attatched on the buggy?
lol at sitting on the roof, its tempting but would be just my luck to get spotted and reported to ofsted!!
thanks so much for all the advice everyone!

sorry Hana, for the mispelling of your name

OP posts:
hana · 23/09/2008 22:09

nope, not hard to push at all. it's a 3 and half year old sitting on it, she's on the small side, but she tends to hop on and hop off so it's not solid pushing

geraldinetheluckygoat · 23/09/2008 22:26

Great, I wonder if it would fit my buggy, will have to research. I know ds would LOVE it!

I know this is an old post but have you seen these www.thetug.co.uk I use one that I use tandem on my P&T and its ok...I only need it one day a week as its the only day I have 3 non walkers. It ocasionally bumps my ankles but on the whole is fine.

Orangutan · 01/12/2008 14:09

Sassamax: 2 months down the line, is the Lascal Buggyboard Maxi with extenders still working for you? I?m still undecided about which double-buggy to buy to best use with a buggy board, heart says P&T head says Jane Powertwin Pro, HELP!!! Anyone??

sasamax · 01/12/2008 14:30

Orangutan - NNNOOOO!!!!
It drove me totally mad!!!
Best double with a board is def mountain buggy.
I think the twin twister works well too though!!!

sasamax · 01/12/2008 14:32

Save yourself a lot of money and annoyance and just get a mb - you won't be sorry! My p&t is now with it's new owner.

Orangutan · 02/12/2008 10:46

Thanks a mil Sassamax!! But mb & Twin Twister too wide for my door & hall. Guess I'll settle for Jane Powertwin.

sasamax · 02/12/2008 13:52

Yeah - good idea. Buggyboard & Phil&Ted just do not go
