Sorry, another pram question. Which one to go for?

I'm really struggling to decide which pram to buy. Baby is due in 10 weeks so I'm hoping to order one shortly. I was originally going to get the M&P Ultima MPX but I decided against it as the car seat has had quite bad reviews and it didn't seem worth paying extra for features we weren't going to use, however, I've seen someone with one this morning and I think I've fallen in love with it again.

I had a list of requirements:

  • Must lie flat to start with, preferably in a carrycot
  • Must be rear facing when in pushchair mode
  • I'm not bothered if it's car seat compatible as I won't use a car seat on it anyway.
  • Must be able to fold with the seat unit on it (though not necessarily the carrycot) and the easier it folds the better.

I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to these three:

Icandy Apple Stroller (with carrycot)
Britax Vigour 4+ (with carrycot)
M&P Pliko Switch

Does anybody have any experience of any of these? Which would you recommend or is there another more suitable one that I haven't thought of? Thanks

vote here for a loola carrycot optional

the problem with a lot of pushchairs is they are only from birth with a carrycot but most babies outgrow the carrycot before 6 months.

examples are the xplory, nipabout, buzz, hauck infinity, city elite, icandy cherry, bugaboo (not the bee), fisher price voyager, britax vigour, loola, streety, bebe confort opera, m&p ziko etc

I like to have one big pushchair for walking and a smaller one for the car. The big ones i like are: traxx ecuador, mutsy, mamas and papas skate, mothercare xcursion, mothercare my3, urban detour quantum, maxi cosi mura, gesslein f2, gesslein future, gesslein vision s, mia moda allegria

The small ones i like are: the petite star whirl, luna, baby jogger city mini, mothercare vesta, bugaboo bee

I spent £600 odd on the M & P X cel and it literally fell apart with DS asleep in it. Cost £245 for a new chassis alone (but repaired for £50). The car seat also is very upright meaning babys head drops forward alot (there was an article a while ago about babies suffocating /choking like this). BUT I use every bit of it, the pram/moses basket is soooo useful at peoples houses etc., the car seat clicking onto the chassis for quick runs, the pushchair part that lies flat etc. Only thing is it's all abit heavy/bulky, but then again it means i's sturdy (apart from when it falls apart). I go "off road" alot with it so I wouldn't part with it, even if it does need mending from time to time! I take it through woods/beaches/fields etc.etc. No wonder it broke I guess...!

Have you considered the Quinny Buzz?
Sorry can't really give any feedback as I've never had one but I'm sure it meets your criteria too!

Thanks for all the replies, I haven't logged on for a while so sorry I haven't replied sooner.

LoW - it was an article about the car seat that largely put me off the Ultima. It's a shame I can't just buy the pram!

Sasamax - we looked at the Quinny Buzz but DH found the handle bar uncomfortable

JoyS - do you find the switch easy to push?
