Citroën C8/ Grand Voyager or something else???

We are expecting baby number three. Today I had a friend visit on the train so I put my baby carseat in and realised that I really will need a new car.
Much as I fancy something swish, I think that practicality rules and we need a people carrier.

So, I would like 7 or 8 seats and a sliding door also the option of leather interior. Have only looked online so far and have found the Citroën and the Chrysler. Has anyone got either of these or can recommend something else?

Many thanks.

Just call me JC

You're welcome, Squiffy - I really enjoy searching for cars (weird or what) and I've always wanted a Previa; can't justify buying one now, kids too old and too big .

I keep hoping that the reason they stopped making them is that they have something even better up their sleeves but I haven't heard a whisper (they are still making & selling them in Japan though )

Thanks Magso -LOL at "and one of the sliding doors is now a bit temperamental (after ds slammed some magnetix in the mechanism so not really a fair point)" - Not covered in the Warrenty???

Jeremy - hope you're keeping the name, you can become the Mumsnet expert!

Haven't really thought about the Galaxy Sidge as I figure I may aswell go the whole hog and get sliding doors if I'm going to get a people carrier!

Have Citroen C8 - 2nd car very very low mileage - disappointed with the reliability - and more with Citroens response - refuse to honour warranty and say it must be our fault for not driving it enough. Problems (we think) largely with the electrics - for example the big side electric doors open by themselves - sometimes in the middle of the night. Wouldn't buy another one TBH - pity as it has some noce features (when they work).

We had lots a few electrical problems on ours, and the local garage (not a franchise) fixed them by running it through their computer.

We, and thousands of other, diesel owners had a problem with engine performance which has taken Citroen 3 years to find the cause of. Again, my local garage fixed this at the last service. I was really down with the car, but I now happy with it again.
