What do you use to clean your Dualit toaster?

We have a chrome/stainless steel one, and I use a stainless steel/chrome cleaner from Lakeland. The problem in, it brings up the stainless steel part beautifully, but the chrome bits on the side just always look grubby. This cleaner doesn't seem to actually clean it. How do you keep yours looking nice?

For cleaning chrome on car bumpers / cycles etc. I use Chromautosol. It would probably work on your toaster. It's sold in Halfords and B&Q I expect. Gold / black coloured tube. HTH.

We don't really polish our Dualit - just empty the crumb tray and give the unit a wipe. It seems to have stayed in fairly good nick.

Sorry - must've been a family nickname for the stuff. It is called 'Autosol Metal Polish'

Hub"dee, our family called that stuff "Solvol-autosol"!

I have no idea why, but was very embarrassed when the nice man at the motorbike shop had no idea what I was talking about.

That's it. Solvol Autosol. The company must've changed hands or sommit. Rather good stuff but needs lots of elbow grease and frequent moving of the rag to 'new sections' - it'll pull off loads of miniscule bits of dirt and turn the rag black...

eco cloths eco cloths eco cloths. They are FAB for steel, chrome or glass - don't need any chemicals/cleaning fluid - just one cloth damp and then a different one dry to polish it they are the best cleaning product I have come across for YEARS. Witrose stock them, not sure whre else you can get them from
