ski trousers for a large ar$e - where to buy?

I desperately need some size 22-24, I think. Am headed down to Oxford St today as a friend of mine recommended BHS as a place to look. Any other suggestions (other than 'lose some weight')? Help!

You could try here I don't know if they do ski trousers but it is definately worth contacting them. The girls who run it are lovely and very helpful

Ooh- great site, Metrobaby. Ks, men's clothes tend not to fit my rear region... I have very womanly hips. Used to call them 'childbearing hips' until the doctor told me it was their fault both boys were op (they flip the baby the wrong way), so I've stopped speaking to them and just glare angrily when I see them in the mirror.

Hausfrau, I've found some German places that stock the brand, but haven't found the trousers. Will have a closer look when I get back. Yorkiegirl, I'll keep an eye out for that brand today.

My trousers from last year are just too tight; there seems to be no danger of splittage. If I can't find a size larger today, then I'll go out tomorrow looking for a girdle.

JJ - I ski in men's snowboarding trousers - they seem to be cut more generously in the bum, probably because boarders sit down a lot and don't want to be restricted. Ask about snowboarding kit and see if anything fits better.

Didn't make it to Oxford St today, but took the boys to Decathlon to get their gear (it's nice and very reasonable, yay!). I decided to ask the helpful, nice, thin girl if they had any snow trousers in my size and she brought me the largest they had.... XXL - US size 12 (UK size 16?). She thought I might be able to get into them. Aw bless. She was really nice, though, if obviously clueless about anyone over size 8 or so.

I tried the men's, too, but those were too small in the butt. sigh.

CD, thanks! We're going to Austria (Lermoos) and I didn't see a store there, but it really helps to know that there are trousers out there that might possibly fit me.

Had a thought while packing today -- maybe if I wrap the fat tightly enough, I'll be like a rubber bouncy ball and never have to worry about hauling myself up again! (Fall, hit ground, bounce back up, repeat on other side)
