I'm about to buy a 9 month to 4 years car seat. Our 0+ car seat is a Maxi Cosi. This came as part of a travel system so no real decisions were made.

Please can you just tell me the brand name (maybe model too). Thats all. Thank you!

Britax DuoPlus Isofix, just outgrown by my 4 year old, now in Britax Hi-liner.

Maxi Cosi Priori XP. Tom only weighs 28lbs so I think he will be in it until he is 4 at this rate!

We've got the Maxi Coxi Piori XP too, and, although DS fits into it well, I don't like it. The straps twist a lot and are a bugger to un-twist, and the seat cover keeps coming off as he wriggles around. Maybe it's me doing something wrong, though!

Maxi Cosi Tobi which is fab, dd is v comfortable. Good head support & the tensioned straps are great (no fishing behind wriggly toddlers for straps) Not so suitable if you don't have a big car as it comes out quite far from the back of the seat so restricts legroom. (DD very limited legroom at 22 months in my dad's peugeot 207)

the straps are all twisted on my priori xp too and i can't untwist them.

Maxi Cosi Priori we have two now for 11month old and 2.5yr old they are fab.

nicolamumof3 · 07/07/2008 20:58

oh apart from the twisty straps. Glad we aren't the only ones with that prob.

biscuitsmustbedunkedintea · 07/07/2008 23:07

Maxi Cosi Priori XP and have had no probs with twisty straps. Often moving it between 2 cars and can install it very quickly. Cover easy to remove (once you've read the manual) and cleans well.

We were torn between this one and a Britax. Lady in Halfords pointed out the Maxi had an extra tension lever which swung it for us. Turns out Britax do one with the extra lever but for more money

bluenosesaint · 07/07/2008 23:10

Atm i have a Britax duo plus isofix.

I have had (over the period of 8 yrs), Britax, Maxi Cosy, Mothercare, Bebeconfort and Graco. Britax has it every time for me

nappyaddict · 11/08/2008 14:48

you can untwist the straps on the priori. you have to undo the strap from underneath the car seat though so the shoulder strap and the waist strap aren't joined together. then you have to pull the clip thing on the shoulder strap down really hard and it should go past the twist and untwist itself. i had to get a bloke to do one of them cos i wasn't strong enough though.

amidaiwish · 12/08/2008 09:43

maxi cosi priori xp too. both DDs.
have been really pleased with it. very comfy, and easy to recline with one hand even from the front seat. cover has been in the washing machine a few times (chunder child) and has come out well.
