My First Ready Bed

Is it supposed to come with a repair kit does anyone know?

We purchased one for DS1 last week to take camping only to discover that it deflated in the middle of the night (disaster). We couldn't find a repair kit in the bag; should there be one?

I am going to return it to the shop anyway - poor DS1 was so disappointed, he was really looking forward to sleeping in his Thomas the Tank bed in the tent. Instead he ended up sleeping in DS2's travel cotbed!

we have 2 of them, neither came with a repair kit afaik.

Oh OK thanks, I just wondered as there was mention of one in the instructions. We did patch up the airbed with the repair kit from mine and DH's airbed but there was still a hole somewhere as it went down again the next night - poor DS1

shame for him. though it might be a blessing in disguise.

we bought one for ds for when we stayed in a caravan last year, it was fine for the 1 week that we used it, ds was just turning 2, and his feet reached the bottom. we supplimented it with a blanket, but the covers on ours are really nylony and leak colour. ds was sent one from my brother for his birthday (a week after we'd been on holiday) so we've ended up with 2 of them now and the last time he tried to sleep in it he was too big for it. he's not 3 yet.

i know its disappointing, but in hindsight, i would spend my money on a child size airbed (bigger and more comfy)and childsize thomas sleeping bag that ds can grow into.

ours did.

we put an airbed underneath the other bed in case it deflates (as it often seems to do). keeps them warmer as well

Our normal ready beds have come with repair kits.

I'm going to return it tomorrow - I bought it from woolworths. I don't know whether to just get a replacement or to go for something totally different.

DS1 is 3yo and not quite ready for a child size sleeping bag and I liked the idea of the bumpers on this one to stop him rolling off.

Oh what to do.....

Ours did (but it is tiny like a small see through plaster and you could well have chucked it out with the packaging)

The bumpers are the main good thing imo, but as others have said you need extra covers (or conversely in v hot weather they get very sweaty in/on a ready bed)

I bet DH threw it away then, doh!

I am thinking of just returning it for a refund and getting this airbed instead along with a small sleeping bag, if I can find a suitable one.
