I bought dd Dumbo for Christmas and have loved reminiscing about when I saw it as a child..and singing along to the songs. I'd now like to plough through the rest, although even the big stores eg HMV only seem to have a limited stock of certain videos. I'm not keen on the new-fangled ones, prefer the classics - so which do you think younger children prefer?

Awwww - Petes Dragon was the first film my mum took me to see at the cinema!

DD loves Lady & the Tramp, Jungle Book & Aladin. Snow White is a favorite too but a bit scary at the beginning. The Lion King was a disaster she just cried for most of it, its too sad. Babe is good too.

The two winnie the pooh films are the top ones in our house! There are other Pooh ones from the disney channel which are awful, but both the films are great. Dd likes the second one (she calls it the 'Skullasaurus Film' the best. And she also like sCHicken Run, which keeps us sane. We got Dumbo for CHristmas but she hasn't taken much of a shine to it yet (she'll be 3 in a fortnight)

Marina, hadn't thought about Billy Joel in years..I believe he had a car accident the other day, but I'm convinced it won't stop him singing

Demented, where did you get Pete's Dragon, my 3 1/2 year old is driving me demented asking for that film. On the other hand Bundle i know they aren'd disney but my ds loves watching the Stuart Little films and also my favourite Jungle Book which is a classic and in my eyes can NEVER be beaten

thanks for all the brilliant suggestions - many of the titles are in short supply so I'm keeping my eyes peeled - also lots are just on dvd which I haven't caved into yet, waiting for a cheapo recordable version first, i think - especially for Lady & Tramp & Aristocats (low scary content )
