Best buoyancy swimming costume?

My little girl is 2 and loves going to the swimming pool however we are both getting a little frustrated - her with mummy being annoying and not letting go so she will drown and me having to put up with various tantrums! Can you tell me which swimming cossie is best and where I would get it from...I would ideally like to have one where she can float unaided of me! Is that possible?

I always used armbands, so I can't help you directly, but have you looked at GLTC? I know they're awful for service but they had quite a big range of swimming stuff last time I looked.

I got my dd floating independently at about 12 month because
a I love swimming and it's really boring swishing a little kid around and freezing
b I wanted her to be a confident swimmer
We used 'floaties' (armbands) initially but a small child can tip forwards in them so we switched to a neoprene (wetsuit material) jacket from Jojomamanbebe which has foam inserts in it.
You remove a few at a time until the child is swimming independently.
A great buy!

You want a Floaties swimsuit. Costs about £15. Should be able to get it in larger Mothercares or online. My DD has used one since she was 13 montsh old. Dont look very cool though

No, she floated on her own jhf! And it looks quite cool. Dd loves it so much she has been known to sleep in it.
