Anyone who has opened it, 'thank you' already

I need:

Reversable seat unit.
Extendable handle.
Big, big basket with open access (no cross bar etc).
Sturdy.
Light to push.
Able to take BuggyBoard.
Not so big that I am stared off the bus in shame.
Raincover not huge preferably.
Would love a popper on apron rather than a footmuff.
Less than £300 with raincover (willing to buy second hand though).

Kind of liking Mutsy 4Rider but would appreciate a tip on something a bit less mahoosive.

Thanks, Liz

My 5 year old mamas and papas 3 in one ticks all those boxes. Cost silly money 5 years ago but I'm still loving it, likely to use it for another 2-3 years and it still looks fab. And you could pick one up for under £100.

Not trendy option though...

Pliko Switch ticks all the boxes, Peg Perego version on Amazon for £338 incl shipping. Very nice looking too, imo. Completely in love with mine, wish I'd had it all along.

AccidentalMum · 02/07/2008 21:46

Thanks!

The MPX looks like the perfect buggyboard pram. All the colours I like seem to come with carrycot, car seat, strange array of stands and optional pet carrier attachment though .

Is the Pliko Switch very heavy to get up kerbs in rear facing mode? Just that the Pliko was, so assume the Switch would be worse maybe?

The Mutsy 4 Rider light was ok fir buggy friendly buses. I'd be tempted by a 2nd hand Bugaboo think. Definately the lightest to push most comapact rear facing pushcair I found and I tried quite a few too!

Hauck Infinity? Trouble is the basket is quite small, but there is a trick to get round it

JoyS · 04/07/2008 17:16

I don't find the Switch hard to get up curbs but you do have to step on the toddler step to get leverage. It's not heavy but it's the way it's balanced, iyswim. So maybe not the best for a buggy board after all!
