garden toys. What would you recommend?

I'm just thinking ahead to the summer holidays. We aren't going away this year and I want to buy a few things for the kids 2-10 to play with in our not very big garden. Just remembered Swingball. Would anyone recommend it? I remember finding it quite frustrating as it kept getting twisted when I was a kid. Maybe they've changed the design.

I'm still trying to persuade dh that a trampoline would be a good idea. Can you put a trampoline on decking though?

Any thoughts/ideas gratefully received. Thanks

I'm more at the 2 than 10yo stage of things, but swingball is great. We got one for ds1 a week or so ago, and he loves it (even though he is far too young to actually do it competantly). Happy cries of 'hit ball, hit ball' all day long.

We got the ELC one - supposed to be for 3-8 yos - but that might be a bit short for older children (I've been having a go, but do it sitting down, and I'm very short).

Thanks Muffin. I've just been looking at the elc catalogue and saw their swingball. I was thinking of my 6 year old so maybe their version would be fine. Swingball doesn't have very good reviews on amazon and I have a 20% voucher for elc BC0708 which always helps!

We have a thing, can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but there its like a plastic rugby ball on strings with 2 handles at each end. You need t 2 people who each hold 2 handles and then pull the string apart and the ball thing goes up to the opposite persons hands.

Great description wasn't it. Will try to find a link...

My children love this. There is a tunnel to go with it as well.

Trampoline fab but not sure if can go on decking.

DD also has a swing which she still enjoy using.

Most used outdoor toy for DD is her skipping rope. She spends ages with it, both on her own and with a friend skipping together.
