Quick ebay question

Can anyone tell me how, when doing an ebay listing, you use a "professional" photo of a product? E.G I've seen several ebayers selling things like Seven jeans and using a promotional photo rather than ust a snap of the item, and also the Samsonite pop-up cots are on there, with the actual Samsonite picture rather than just a crap one taken at home. How do you do this? It looks much better and I bet you get more money for the item that way.

Personally, I'd prefer to see a photo of the actual item for sale. If its something like a cot, I'd be suspicious that they didn't want to show the one they were selling, and would wonder what was wrong with it. Unless it was an ebay shop knocking loads out.

I agree with ixel about the picture. I never bid on things that have a "proper" picture because it makes me think there's something wrong with the actual item. If you can't be bothered to take a photo you don't deserve to sell your item, IMO.

I see what you're saying there and I sppose actually I agree. It's not that I "can't be bothered" - it's easier to do a photo myself quickly - it's more that I want the thing to look really good and a home snap against my vile brown carpet doesn't really show it off to its best!

But maybe I'll stick with that for now

it's always better to see a pic of the actual product you are bidding on, so that you can see what condition etc it's in....
i get v.suspicious of the ones with professional photos!

just lay a white sheet on the floor b4 u take the pics.

Take your picture with a complete contrast colour background and then use adobe (free download) to get rid of the background and you can select your own background colour....also sizes the pics right for easy upload

I don't mind professional photos if the object is new. But if it's used, yeah, I'd rather see the actual object I'm bidding on.
