I think I need this print. I like it. But it's £145, so I may just print something out really big on a sheet of A4 instead [tightwad emoticon].

that's the biggest waste of money i've ever seen.

JackieNo · 20/06/2008 22:25

I like the sentiment, but not the price.

JackieNo if you want it get it. Life is too short not to. It's not a huge amount of money and I'll bet you work hard and do everything you are meant to! Treat yourself!!

southeastastra · 20/06/2008 22:30

it's a bit communist

JackieNo · 20/06/2008 22:30

No, I'm not seriously thinking of spending that amount of money on something that simple - it's really just the words that I like.

Ooh, inspired. Now, there is a reason for this. Bear in mind that I think about stuff far too much. So, a few years ago the Child of Our Time children started school, and one thing that came up was 'what should you say to your child in the morning as you pack them off to school?' It wasn't 'be good' - too much pressure. It wasn't 'have fun' - likewise. It was 'work hard'. DD is starting school in September, and I figure that for a 4yo going into Reception, 'work hard' isn't appropriate. So I've been thinking what I will say to her as she (sniff) trots off into school, and now I think 'be nice to people' is it. Problem solved. Hurrah. And I didn't even need to shell out £145.
